Seth Lerner M.D., a partner with AUCNY – White Plains Maple Avenue is a Cum Laude graduate of the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn where he was also an elected member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Lerner completed his post-graduate training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, where he was a resident in Urology. He continued his training as a Fellow in Urologic Oncology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine, Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Lerner is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Urology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He has received numerous awards throughout his career and has published over 30 peer reviewed articles in the field of Urologic Oncology. He has also written several book chapters.
Presently, Dr. Lerner is the Director of the Dickstein Cancer Treatment Center Prostate Program based at White Plains Hospital. He has performed more radical prostatectomies utilizing minimally invasive robotic techniques than any other surgeon in Westchester County, as well as the surrounding areas including Southern Connecticut.
Dr. Lerner’s prostate cancer surgical data base includes over 1,200 patients treated for this particular cancer at White Plains Hospital.
In addition, he specializes in minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy) for cancers of the kidney, testis, bladder, as well as benign and malignant adrenal tumors and reconstruction of congenital kidney disorders including ureteropelvic junction obstruction.
